Dan Dierdorf is a former American football player and television sportscaster. He was born on June 29, 1949 in Canton, Ohio. His parents are Mary and Frank Dierdorf. He has three brothers and one sister. He attended Washington High School in Massillon, Ohio. He then went on to the University of Michigan, where he played football as an offensive lineman. He was drafted by the St.

Louis Cardinals in the second round of the 1971 NFL Draft. He played for the Cardinals from 1971 to 1983. He was a six-time Pro Bowl selection and a two-time First-team All-Pro. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1996. After his playing career, he became a television sportscaster. He worked for ABC, CBS, and FOX.

He was the lead analyst for Monday Night Football on ABC from 1987 to 1999. He also worked for Westwood One Radio as a play-by-play announcer for NFL games. He currently works for ESPN as a college football analyst. His net worth is estimated to be $12 million.
