Chris Candido was born on February 21, 1972 in Trenton, New Jersey. His parents were both professional wrestlers, and his older brother Johnny was also a wrestler. Chris began wrestling when he was just eighteen years old. He wrestled in various independent promotions before being signed by Extreme Championship Wrestling in 1995. He quickly became one of the most popular wrestlers in ECW, winning the World Television Championship and the World Tag Team Championship. He left ECW in 1996 and wrestled for World Championship Wrestling and World Wrestling Entertainment. He returned to ECW in 1998 and won the World Heavyweight Championship. He left ECW again in 1999 and wrestled for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling from 2002 to 2005. He returned to WWE in 2006 and wrestled for them until his untimely death in 2005.

Chris Candido was one of the most popular wrestlers of the 1990s. He was known for his high-flying style and his willingness to take risks in the ring. He was a three-time World Champion, and he also won the World Tag Team Championship and the World Television Championship. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2006.

Chris Candido died on April 28, 2005, at the age of 33, from complications due to a blood clot.
