Charlie O’Connell (born April 21, 1978) is an American actor and television personality. He is the brother of actor Jerry O’Connell.
Early Life
O’Connell was born in Manhattan, New York, the son of Linda (née Witkowski), an art teacher, and Michael O’Connell, an advertising agency art director. His paternal grandfather was of Irish descent, and his paternal grandmother was of Polish ancestry. His parents divorced when he was two years old.
O’Connell was raised in Montclair, New Jersey, with his brother Jerry. He attended Montclair High School, where he played football and lacrosse. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2000 with a degree in finance.
Career
O’Connell’s first acting role was in the 2001 film Sliders: The Movie, based on the television series of the same name. He has also appeared in the films Crossroads (2002), Dude, Where’s My Car? (2000), and Jerry Maguire (1996).
In 2005, O’Connell was a contestant on The Bachelor: Paris. He was also a contestant on The Amazing Race 7, which aired in early 2006.
In 2007, O’Connell starred in the horror film The Hills Have Eyes 2. He has also guest-starred on the television series Las Vegas and CSI: NY.
In 2008, O’Connell hosted the reality television dating show Excused.
In 2010, O’Connell starred in the horror film Piranha 3D.
In 2016, O’Connell starred in the comedy film Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates.
Personal Life
O’Connell has dated actresses Jennifer Morrison and Sarah Roemer. He is currently dating Playboy Playmate Anna Sophia Berglund.
