Caroline John was born on the 3rd of September, 1940, in London, England. Her parents were both actors, and she was their only child. She was educated at a number of schools, including the Central School of Speech and Drama, before embarking on a career in acting.

She made her professional debut in 1962, appearing in an episode of the television series “Dixon of Dock Green”. She went on to have roles in a number of other television series over the years, including “Doctor Who”, “Blake’s 7”, and “EastEnders”.

In addition to her work on television, she also appeared in a number of films, including “The Spy Who Loved Me” and “The Elephant Man”.

She was married to actor Michael Williams from 1971 until his death in 2001. The couple had two daughters together.

She died on the 5th of June, 2012, at the age of 71.
