Canibus is an American rapper and actor. He was born on December 9, 1974 in Jamaica, Queens, New York, United States. His parents are Jamaican immigrants. He has two older sisters. He was educated at the High School for the Performing Arts in Manhattan. He began his career as a member of the hip hop group The Underachievers. The group released their debut album, It Happened in Flatbush, in 1993.

They disbanded in 1995. Canibus began his solo career in 1996 with the release of his debut album, Can-I-Bus. The album peaked at number one on the Billboard 200 chart. It was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). His second album, 2000 B. C.

(Before Can-I-Bus), was released in 1998. It peaked at number three on the Billboard 200 chart and was certified gold by the RIAA. Canibus has released nine studio albums, two compilation albums, one EP, and one mixtape. He has also appeared in several films and television shows. His net worth is $4 million. ..
