Early Life

Ty Hodges was born in Los Angeles, California on October 28, 1976. His parents are both African American. He has two older sisters. Hodges was educated at the prestigious Harvard-Westlake School in Los Angeles. He went on to study acting at the University of Southern California.

Career

Hodges began his career as a child actor, appearing in commercials and television shows such as The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Doogie Howser, M.D.. In 1994, he landed a regular role on the Nickelodeon sketch comedy series All That. He also appeared on the spin-off series The Amanda Show.

In addition to his work on television, Hodges has also appeared in films such as A Goofy Movie (1995), Jerry Maguire (1996), and She’s All That (1999). He has also directed music videos for artists such as Justin Bieber and Chris Brown.

3With his theater education he decided he wanted to move to Hollywood to pursue his Dreams as an actor. His parents put him on a trial basis for a month and sent him out to L.A. to have some auditions. Within 2 weeks Ty booked a commercial and the Lead in Janet Jackson's Video "Go Deep". Once that happened his family decided to relocate to Los Angeles to support their son in the entertainment industry.
