Sophie Falkiner is an Australian television presenter, actress and writer. She is best known for her work on The Great Australian Bake Off, The Block and I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!.

Falkiner was born on the 6th of July, 1974 in Sydney, Australia. Her parents are both accountants and she has two older sisters. Falkiner was educated at the prestigious North Sydney Girls’ High School before going on to study law at the University of Sydney.

Falkiner’s career began in the legal profession, working as a barrister’s clerk. However, she soon made the switch to television, appearing as a presenter on the children’s show Cheez TV. Falkiner’s big break came in 2003 when she was cast as the host of The Great Australian Bake Off. She has since gone on to host a number of other popular television shows, including The Block and I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!.

Falkiner is also an accomplished actress, appearing in a number of Australian television shows and movies. She has also written two books; her autobiography, Sophie: My Story, and a novel, The Girlfriends’ Guide to Getting Your Groove Back.

Falkiner is married to television producer James Maberly. The couple have two children together.
