Peter Noone is a British singer, songwriter, guitarist, and actor. He is best known for his role as Herman in the 1960s television series “Herman’s Hermits. ” Noone was born in Manchester, England, on November 5, 1947. His parents were both musicians, and his father was also a professional boxer. Noone has two older sisters. He was educated at St. Bede’s College, a Catholic boarding school in Manchester.
Noone’s first musical experience was as a member of a skiffle group called the High-Spots. He later joined a band called the Heartbeats, which eventually became Herman’s Hermits. Noone was the lead singer and frontman of the band. Herman’s Hermits had several hits in the 1960s, including “I’m Into Something Good,” “Mrs. Brown, You’ve Got a Lovely Daughter,” and “I’m Henry VIII, I Am. ” The band also appeared in several films, including “Mrs.
Brown, You’ve Got a Lovely Daughter” (1968) and “Hold On!” (1966). Noone has also had a successful solo career, with hits such as “Oh! You Pretty Things” (1971) and “I Don’t Want to Hurt Nobody” (1972). He has appeared in several stage and television productions, including the musical “Oliver!” (1982) and the soap opera “Emmerdale” (1972-1973). Noone has been married three times and has four children. He currently resides in Los Angeles, California. ..
