Pamela Bach (born October 16, 1963) is an American actress and model. She is best known for her role as Heather Locklear’s sister, Amanda Woodward, on the television series Melrose Place.
Bach was born in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of Barbara (née Taylor), a homemaker, and Henry Bach, a real estate broker. She has two sisters, Holly and Marcy. Bach was raised in a Jewish household and attended Park School of Baltimore.
Bach began her career as a model, appearing in the pages of Vogue and on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar. She made her acting debut in the 1985 television film Malice in Wonderland, and later had roles in the films The Big Easy (1986), Sunset (1988), and Roger Corman’s Frankenstein Unbound (1990).
In 1992, Bach was cast as Amanda Woodward on the Fox soap opera Melrose Place. She appeared in 96 episodes of the series over the course of five seasons, until her character was killed off in 1997.
After Melrose Place ended, Bach had roles in the television films A Stranger in Town (1998) and The Second Civil War (1997), and the feature film Can’t Be Heaven (1999). She also guest-starred on episodes of JAG, Nash Bridges, and Just Shoot Me!.
In 2001, Bach was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. She pleaded no contest to the charges and was sentenced to three years’ probation and ordered to attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.
In recent years, Bach has appeared on reality television shows such as Celebrity Fit Club and Celebrity Wife Swap.
Bach has been married three times. Her first husband was David Hasselhoff, with whom she has two daughters, Taylor-Ann (born 1990) and Hayley (born 1992). Bach and Hasselhoff divorced in 2006. Bach’s second husband was musician Richard Marx, whom she married in 1997. The couple divorced in 2014. Bach is currently married to entrepreneur Oliver Boulton, with whom she has one son, Zackary (born 2016).
