Murray Roman (born December 6, 1928) is an American stand-up comedian and actor. He is best known for his appearances on The Ed Sullivan Show and The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson.
Early Life
Murray Roman was born in Brooklyn, New York, on December 6, 1928. His parents were Jewish immigrants from Poland. He has two brothers and a sister. Roman was educated in the New York City public school system.
Roman began his career as a stand-up comedian in the early 1950s. He appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show and The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. He also had roles in several films, including The Producers (1968) and The Sunshine Boys (1975).
Roman has been married three times. His first wife was the actress Barbara Meek. His second wife was the actress Joyce Bulifant. Roman has three children from his first marriage.
