Mark Farris was born on December 18, 1963, in San Francisco, California. His parents were both engineers. He has two brothers and one sister. He attended Stanford University, where he studied electrical engineering and computer science.
Career
After graduation, Farris worked for a number of different companies in the tech industry, including Apple, Borland, and Oracle. In 1999, he co-founded Salesforce.com, a cloud-based software company. The company went public in 2004 and is now worth over $50 billion.
Farris is also an active angel investor and has made investments in companies such as Twitter, Zynga, and Yammer.
Personal Life
Farris is married to Aileen Lee. They have three children together.
