Laura Leighton is an American actress. She is known for her role as Sydney Andrews on the television series Melrose Place.

Leighton was born on July 24, 1968 in Iowa City, Iowa. She is the daughter of Diane and Kurt Leighton. She has two sisters, Lisa and Lori. Leighton was raised in Omaha, Nebraska. She graduated from high school in 1986.

Leighton began her acting career in 1987 with a role in the television series Santa Barbara. She later had roles in the television series Knots Landing, Twin Peaks, and Melrose Place. In 1995, she starred in the film The Brady Bunch Movie.

Leighton has been married to Doug Savant since 1998. They have two children together.
