Jeanne Tripplehorn is an American actress. She was born on June 10, 1963, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Suzanne and Tom Tripplehorn. Her father was a bandleader and her mother was a homemaker. She has two sisters, Tina and Kelly. Tripplehorn attended Tulsa Edison High School and graduated in 1981. She then studied drama at the Juilliard School in New York City.

Tripplehorn’s film debut came in 1992 with Basic Instinct. She went on to star in such films as Sliding Doors, The Firm, Waterworld, and Mickey Blue Eyes. Tripplehorn also had a recurring role on the television series Big Love.
