Fact
In 2006, he announced that he was unable to continue performing with The Wiggles, due to a chronic condition known as orthostatic intolerance. He'd been suffering symptoms for many months, affecting his ability to perform. The condition was related to blood pressure and though non-life threatening, affected his balance, breathing, and coordination.
Greg Page (born January 16, 1972) is an Australian singer, songwriter and actor. He is best known as the lead singer of the children’s band The Wiggles from 1991 to 2012 and again from 2018.
Page was born in Sydney, Australia. He has two older sisters. His father, Greg Page Sr., was a drummer in a country music band. His mother, Anne Page, was a schoolteacher.
Page began his musical career as a member of The Cockroaches, a children’s band which also featured future Wiggles bandmates Anthony Field and Murray Cook. The Cockroaches released four albums before disbanding in 1991.
Page and Field then formed The Wiggles, along with Jeff Fatt and Phillip Wilcher. The Wiggles became one of the most successful children’s bands of all time, selling over 30 million albums and DVDs and winning multiple ARIA and Logie Awards.
In 2012, Page retired from The Wiggles due to ill health. He was replaced by Sam Moran. In 2018, Page rejoined The Wiggles after Moran left the band.
Page has been married twice. His first marriage was to Miki Berenyi, with whom he has two daughters. His second marriage is to Emma Watkins, a fellow Wiggle. They married in 2016 and announced their separation in 2020.
Page has an estimated net worth of $40 million.
