Frank Beard is an American drummer best known for his work with the rock band ZZ Top. He was born in Frankston, Texas, on June 11, 1949, the son of a Baptist minister. Beard began playing drums in his father’s church at the age of 12. He attended high school in Tyler, Texas, and then studied music at Baylor University. After graduation, he moved to Houston and joined ZZ Top in 1969.

Beard has been a member of ZZ Top for more than 50 years, and has appeared on all of the band’s studio albums. He is known for his distinctive style of drumming, which combines elements of rock, blues, and country. Beard has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Texas Hall of Fame. He has an estimated net worth of $30 million.

Beard has been married three times. His first marriage was to Charlotte Jones, with whom he had two daughters. The couple divorced in 1986. Beard married his second wife, Teresa, in 1987.
