Fiona Reid is a Canadian actress, best known for her role as Margaret Scully on The X-Files. She was born on October 8, 1950 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Her parents were both schoolteachers. She has two older sisters. She was educated at the University of Toronto, where she studied English literature. She began her career as a stage actress, appearing in various Canadian and American productions.
She made her film debut in the 1981 film, Atlantic City. She has since appeared in numerous films and television shows. Some of her most notable roles include Margaret Scully on The X-Files, Mrs. Peacock in the Clue series, and Mrs. Hudson in the Sherlock Holmes series.
She has won several awards for her work, including a Genie Award and a Gemini Award. She has been married to actor Peter Donat since 1974. They have two children together.
