Elizabeth Earl was born in Los Angeles, California, on October 28, 1965. Her parents are both journalists. She has two sisters. Earl attended the University of Southern California, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism.


Earl began her career as a reporter for KCBS-TV in Los Angeles. She then worked as a correspondent for CNN from 1992 to 2001. Earl has also worked as a freelance journalist for various publications, including Time, Newsweek, and People.

In addition to her work as a journalist, Earl has also appeared as a guest on several television shows, including The Oprah Winfrey Show and The View. She has also served as a panelist on the game show Jeopardy!

Earl currently lives in Los Angeles with her husband and two children.
