Dave Meyers is an American film and music video director. He is best known for directing music videos for artists such as Pink, Katy Perry, Kendrick Lamar, and Missy Elliott, as well as the film “The Edge of Seventeen”.

Meyers was born in Eugene, Oregon, on December 21, 1974. His parents divorced when he was young, and he was raised by his mother. He has two older sisters. Meyers attended the University of Oregon, where he studied advertising and graphic design.
Meyers began his career directing music videos for local bands in the early 1990s. He soon began working with major artists such as Pink, Katy Perry, Kendrick Lamar, and Missy Elliott. Meyers has won several awards for his work, including MTV Video Music Awards and Grammy Awards.
In 2016, Meyers made his feature film debut with “The Edge of Seventeen”. The film was a critical and commercial success, and earned Meyers a nomination for the Independent Spirit Award for Best First Feature.
Meyers is currently married to actress and producer Olivia Wilde. The couple have two children together.
