Early Life
Jones was born in Los Angeles, California. His father, Donald Jones, was a basketball player at UCLA. His mother, Deborah Jones, was a track and field athlete at USC. He has two older sisters, Darlene and Denise.
Jones attended high school at St. Bernard High School in Playa del Rey, where he was a standout basketball player. He then attended the University of Houston, where he played college basketball for the Cougars.
Career
Jones was drafted by the Indiana Pacers in the second round of the 1997 NBA draft. He played for the Pacers for two seasons, before being traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers in 1999. He played for the Cavaliers for four seasons, before being traded to the Miami Heat in 2003. He played for the Heat for two seasons, before being traded to the Milwaukee Bucks in 2005. He played for the Bucks for two seasons, before being traded to the Dallas Mavericks in 2007. He played for the Mavericks for one season, before being traded back to the Cavaliers in 2008. He played for the Cavaliers for one season, before being released.
Jones then played for various teams in Europe and Asia, before retiring from professional basketball in 2012.
