Cutter Dykstra is an American professional baseball infielder who plays in the Washington Nationals organization. He is the son of former MLB All-Star Lenny Dykstra. Cutter was born in Santa Monica, California, on August 21, 1991. He attended Westlake High School in Westlake Village, California, and then went on to play college baseball at the University of California, Irvine.

Dykstra was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 7th round of the 2012 MLB Draft. He made his professional debut that same year with the Helena Brewers of the Rookie-level Pioneer League. In 2013, he played for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers of the Class-A Midwest League and the Brevard County Manatees of the Class-A+ Florida State League. He spent the 2014 season with the Huntsville Stars of the Class-AA Southern League.

Dykstra was traded to the Washington Nationals on December 16, 2014, as part of a three-team trade that also involved the San Diego Padres. He began the 2015 season with the Harrisburg Senators of the Class-AA Eastern League and was promoted to the Syracuse Chiefs of the Class-AAA International League on June 17.

Dykstra was called up to the majors for the first time on September 1, 2015. He made his MLB debut that day, starting at second base and going 1-for-4 with a single against the Miami Marlins. He appeared in four games for the Nationals in 2015 and was outrighted to Syracuse on October 5.

Dykstra spent most of the 2016 season with Syracuse, batting .270/.345/.408 with seven home runs and 46 RBIs in 121 games. He was recalled to Washington on September 6 and appeared in four more games for the Nationals that season.

In 2017, Dykstra played for both Syracuse and Washington, appearing in a career-high 41 games for the Nationals while also spending time with Syracuse. He batted .231/.288/.354 with two home runs and 11 RBIs in 2017.

Dykstra began the 2018 season back with Syracuse. He was recalled by Washington on May 8 and appeared in one game for the Nationals before being optioned back to Syracuse on May 9. He was recalled again on May 14 and optioned back to Syracuse on May 15. He was recalled for a third time on May 17 and optioned back to Syracuse on May 18. He was recalled for a fourth time on May 20 and optioned back to Syracuse on May 21. He was recalled for a fifth time on May 23 and optioned back to Syracuse on May 24. He was recalled for a sixth time on May 28 and optioned back to Syracuse on May 29. He was recalled for a seventh time on June 1 and optioned back to Syracuse on June 2.

Dykstra was traded to the Seattle Mariners on August 31, 2018, as part of a five-player trade. He was assigned to the Tacoma Rainiers of the Class-AAA Pacific Coast League and became a free agent after the season.

On February 7, 2019, Dykstra signed a minor league contract with the Washington Nationals. He was assigned to Syracuse to begin the 2019 season.
