Wendie Malick is an American actress, model, and comedian. She was born in Buffalo, New York, on December 13, 1950, the daughter of Gigi, a model, and Ken Malick, a salesperson. She has two sisters, Vicki and Jan. Malick attended the Williamsville South High School. She then studied at Ohio Wesleyan University and New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.

Malick began her career as a fashion model in Paris and New York. She later moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. Her first role was in the television film “Fantasy Island” in 1977. She then had guest roles on several television shows, including “Starsky and Hutch,” “Charlie’s Angels,” and “The Love Boat.”
In 1978, Malick landed her first major role on the television series “Soap.” She played the role of Jade McCarthy for two years. She then had a recurring role on the television series “Cheers.”
In 1992, Malick began starring in the television series “Dream On.” She played the role of Judith Tupper Stone for four years.
In 1999, Malick began starring in the television series “Just Shoot Me!” She played the role of Nina Van Horn for seven years.
