Tyler Christopher is an American actor. He is best known for his role as Nikolas Cassadine on the ABC soap opera General Hospital, a role he has played since 1996.

Born in Danville, Illinois, Christopher was raised in Boonville, Indiana. His parents divorced when he was two years old, and he was raised by his mother and stepfather. He has two older sisters.
Christopher graduated from Boonville High School in 1988. He then attended the University of Evansville, where he studied theatre. He left school after one year to pursue his acting career.
Christopher’s first acting role was in the NBC daytime soap opera Days of Our Lives, where he played the role of Stefan Cassadine from 1991 to 1992. He then appeared in the short-lived ABC primetime drama series Class of 96, before landing his breakout role as Nikolas Cassadine on General Hospital in 1996.
Since joining General Hospital, Christopher has won two Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, in 2003 and 2012. He has also been nominated for the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series four times, in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2016.

Christopher’s other television credits include guest-starring roles on JAG, CSI: Miami, Without a Trace and Cold Case.
On the big screen, Christopher has appeared in the films The Skulls (2000), All Souls Day (2005) and Red Sands (2009).
