He has two older sisters, Beth and Jodi. He was raised in a Catholic household. He attended Brockton High School. He then studied at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he majored in English.
Scott’s first film role was in the 1992 film School Ties. He then appeared in the films Tommy Boy (1995) and An American Werewolf in Paris (1997).
