Terry Kiser is an American actor, best known for his role as Bernie Lomax in the Weekend at Bernie’s films.
Born in Omaha, Nebraska, Kiser began his career on the stage, appearing in regional theatre productions. He made his film debut in the 1971 film The Anderson Tapes, and went on to appear in a number of films throughout the 1970s and 1980s.
Kiser’s most notable role came in the 1989 film Weekend at Bernie’s, in which he played the titular character. The film was a commercial and critical success, and spawned two sequels.
Kiser has also appeared on television, guest starring on shows such as Magnum, P.I., The A-Team, and Murder, She Wrote.
In recent years, Kiser has appeared in a number of independent films. He currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
