Terri Lynne Boatright Runnels is an American retired professional wrestling manager, television host, and occasional professional wrestler, best known for her work with World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and the World Wrestling Federation (WWF).

Born in Jacksonville, Florida, Runnels began her professional wrestling career as a manager in World Championship Wrestling. She later appeared in the World Wrestling Federation, where she managed wrestlers such as Goldust, Edge, Christian, and The Hardy Boyz. She also hosted a talk show segment called “The Terri Show” and briefly competed as a wrestler. After leaving the WWF in 2004, Runnels appeared in numerous independent wrestling promotions.

In 2012, Runnels was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Early Life

Terri Lynne Boatright was born on October 5, 1966, in Jacksonville, Florida. She has two older sisters. Her father was a Marine Corps aviator and her mother was a homemaker.

Boatright attended the University of Georgia, where she studied journalism and broadcasting. While in college, she began working as a television news producer and later as a weather forecaster.


World Championship Wrestling (1991–1996)

In 1991, Boatright began working for World Championship Wrestling (WCW) as a backstage interviewer and commentator under the name “Alexandra York”. She later became a valet and managed the team of Ricky Steamboat and Shane Douglas.

In 1993, Boatright left WCW and briefly worked for Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) before joining the World Wrestling Federation (WWF).

World Wrestling Federation/Entertainment (1996–2004)

In the WWF, Boatright managed wrestlers such as Goldust, Edge, Christian, and The Hardy Boyz. She also hosted a talk show segment called “The Terri Show” and briefly competed as a wrestler. In 2001, she was the runner-up on the WWF reality show Tough Enough.

In 2002, Boatright left the WWF after her husband, Dustin Rhodes, was released from the company. The couple divorced in 2003. Boatright returned to the WWF in 2004 and worked as a backstage interviewer until she was released from the company later that year.

Independent circuit (2004–present)

After leaving the WWF in 2004, Runnels appeared in numerous independent wrestling promotions. In 2012, she made an appearance on WWE Raw to promote the WWE Network.

In 2016, Runnels launched a podcast called “Podcasting with Terri”. The podcast features interviews with wrestlers and other personalities from the world of professional wrestling.

In 2017, Runnels appeared on an episode of Table for 3 with Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler.

In 2018, Runnels made an appearance on an episode of WWE Network’s Legends with JBL to discuss her career.

In 2019, Runnels made an appearance on an episode of A&E’s Biography: The Nine Lives of Ozzy Osbourne to discuss her relationship with Ozzy Osbourne.

Personal Life

Runnels has two daughters from her marriage to Dustin Rhodes: Dakota and Rhyder. She also has a son from a previous relationship.
