Pansy Ho is a Hong Kong businesswoman and the daughter of Macau casino magnate Stanley Ho. She is the co-chairperson and executive director of MGM China Holdings Limited, which owns and operates the MGM Macau resort. She also has a stake in Shun Tak Holdings, a conglomerate with interests in transportation, property development and hospitality.
Ho was born in Hong Kong in 1962. Her father is Stanley Ho, a billionaire businessman from Macau who has been nicknamed the “King of Gambling”. Her mother is Lucina Laam King Ying, Stanley’s fourth wife. Ho has three sisters: Daisy, Maisy and Josie. She was educated at the Convent of the Sacred Heart in Hong Kong and later attended the University of California, Berkeley, where she studied economics.
Ho began her career working in her father’s companies in Macau and Hong Kong. In 2002, she became a director of Shun Tak Holdings. In 2004, she became the co-chairperson of MGM China Holdings Limited, which owns and operates the MGM Macau resort. Ho also has a stake in Shun Tak Holdings.
Ho is married to Dr. Lawrence Ho, a casino operator and the son of Stanley Ho. The couple have three children: two daughters and a son.
