Kevin Hooks is an American actor, director and producer. He is known for his work on the television series “Prison Break” and “24”.
Hooks was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on September 19, 1957. His parents were both teachers. He has two sisters. Hooks was educated at the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts. He then studied acting at the Juilliard School.
Hooks began his career as an actor, appearing in the soap opera “One Life to Live” from 1981 to 1982. He also had roles in the films “Stir Crazy” (1980), “The Fish That Ate the Whale” (1982) and “The Terminator” (1984).
In 1985, Hooks made his directorial debut with the film “Fled”. He has since directed episodes of the television series “Prison Break”, “24” and “House of Cards”.
Hooks has been married twice. His first wife was actress Saundra Santiago. They divorced in 1993. He married his second wife, actress Regina Taylor, in 1995. They have two children together.
