Frankie Beverly (born Howard Beverly on December 6, 1946) is an American singer, songwriter, musician, and record producer. He is the founder, lead singer, and primary songwriter of the R&B and soul group Maze. Beverly has written and produced numerous hits for the group, including the gold-selling singles “Workin’ Together”, “Happy Feelin’s”, and “Can’t Get Over You”.

Beverly was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and began his musical career as a drummer in the doo-wop group The Blenders. He later joined The Butlers, a local R&B band, with whom he toured the East Coast. After the group disbanded, Beverly relocated to San Francisco, where he formed Maze in 1970.
