Castelluccio was born in Paterson, New Jersey, on March 21, 1965, to Italian immigrants. His father was a tailor and his mother was a homemaker. He has two older sisters.
Castelluccio was educated at the Paterson Catholic High School, where he played football and ran track. He then attended William Paterson University, where he studied art and acting.
After college, Castelluccio worked as a painter and sculptor. He also had roles in various Off-Broadway productions. In 1997, he landed his breakout role as Furio Giunta on The Sopranos. He appeared in all 86 episodes of the show’s six-season run.
