Fat Lever (born Frederick Darnell Lever) is a retired American professional basketball player. He was born on May 18, 1961, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. His parents are Frederick and Mattie Lever. He has four siblings: two brothers and two sisters. He attended the University of Arkansas, where he played basketball for the Razorbacks. He was drafted by the Portland Trail Blazers in the second round of the 1982 NBA Draft.
He played for the Trail Blazers, Denver Nuggets, and Sacramento Kings during his 11-year NBA career. He was an All-Star in 1986 and 1987. He averaged 16.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game during his NBA career. He was inducted into the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame in 2003.
He currently works as a basketball analyst for ESPN. His net worth is estimated to be $5 million. He is divorced and has three children.
