Tink began her career as a rapper, releasing her first mixtape, Winter’s Diary, in 2014. She gained attention for her single “Million,” which was included on the soundtrack for the film Dope. Tink’s debut studio album, Think Tink, was released in 2015.

Tink was born on April 13, 1993, in Chicago, Illinois. She was raised on the city’s South Side by her mother, a teacher, and her father, a barber. Tink began writing poetry and songs at a young age, and she started rapping when she was 12 years old. She attended Whitney M. Young Magnet High School, where she was a member of the school’s choir. After graduating from high school, Tink enrolled at Harold Washington College.

Tink’s career began in 2012, when she was featured on the song “Don’t Tell Nobody” by Jeremih. The following year, she released her first mixtape, Winter’s Diary. The mixtape was well-received by critics, and it led to Tink being signed by Timbaland’s Mosley Music Group. In 2014, Tink was featured on the song “Out My Face” by Plies.
