Pereira began her career as a model, appearing in various advertising campaigns. She made her acting debut in the television series Morangos com Açúcar in 2003. She has since appeared in a number of films and television series, including the soap opera A Vida Secreta das Palavras (2005), the drama series Jardins Proibidos (2007), and the comedy series A Espreitadela (2009).
Pereira has won several awards for her work, including two Golden Globes and a SAG Award. She has been nominated for three Emmy Awards.
Pereira is married to actor Miguel Borges. They have two children together.
