Olivia Cole is an American actress. She was born on March 20, 1943, in Birmingham, Alabama, to parents who were both high school teachers. Cole has two sisters and one brother. She attended the University of Michigan, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in English literature. After graduation, Cole moved to New York City to pursue a career in acting.

She made her Broadway debut in 1968 in the play “The Mighty Gents. ” Cole’s film debut came in 1974 with the film “The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman. ” She has since appeared in numerous films and television shows. Cole won an Emmy Award for her role in the miniseries “Roots” in 1977.

She has also been nominated for a Golden Globe Award and a Tony Award. Cole’s net worth is estimated to be $5 million. She has been married three times and has three children. ..
