Melissa Rivers (born Melissa Warburg Rosenberg on January 20, 1968) is an American television personality, producer, businesswoman, and actress. She is the daughter of Joan Rivers and Edgar Rosenberg. Rivers was born in New York City and raised in both Los Angeles and New York. She has a brother, Edgar Cooper, and a sister, Carrie Fisher. Rivers attended the University of Pennsylvania, where she studied English and communications. After graduation, she worked as a production assistant on her mother’s television show, The Joan Rivers Show.
