Maude Eburne was born on March 8, 1875 in Toronto, Canada. Her parents were William and Elizabeth Eburne. She had two brothers and two sisters. Eburne was educated at the Bishop Strachan School and the Royal Academy of Music in London, England.

Eburne began her career as a vaudeville performer in the early 1890s. She appeared in several Broadway shows, including The Sunshine Girl (1916), The Girl from Utah (1919), and The Dancing Girl (1923). Eburne was married to actor Harry Davenport from 1923 until his death in 1949. The couple had two daughters, Elizabeth and Maude.

Eburne died on October 11, 1950 in Los Angeles, California.
