Marin Mazzie is an American actress, singer, and dancer. She is known for her work on Broadway in musicals such as Ragtime, Kiss Me, Kate, and Passion. She has been nominated for three Tony Awards and has won two Drama Desk Awards.
Mazzie was born in Rockford, Illinois, on October 9, 1960. Her parents are both of Italian descent. She has two older sisters. Mazzie was raised Catholic and attended Catholic schools. She graduated from Rockford East High School in 1978.
Mazzie began her career as a dancer. She studied at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and the Joffrey Ballet School. She made her Broadway debut in the musical Big River in 1985. She has also appeared in the Broadway productions of Into the Woods, Carousel, and The King and I.
Mazzie has been married to actor Jason Danieley since 1997. They have two children together.
