Manoj Bajpayee is an Indian actor who has worked in a number of Hindi and Bengali films. He was born on April 23, 1969, in Belwa, a small village in Bihar, India. His father was a farmer and his mother was a homemaker. He has two brothers and one sister. He received his early education from a local school in Belwa and then attended the Government College in Bettiah, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in science. After college, he moved to Delhi, where he worked as a journalist for a few years. He then decided to pursue a career in acting and joined the National School of Drama in New Delhi.

Bajpayee made his film debut with the Bengali film “Drohkaal” in 1994. He then appeared in the Hindi film “Bandit Queen” in 1996, for which he received critical acclaim. He has since appeared in numerous Hindi and Bengali films. Some of his notable films include “Satya”, “Shool”, “Kaun”, “Gangaajal”, “Apaharan”, “Raajneeti”, “Special 26” and “Aligarh”. He has won several awards for his work, including two National Film Awards and four Filmfare Awards.
Bajpayee is married to actress Shabana Raza. The couple has two children.
