Mackenzie Astin is an American actor. He was born on May 12, 1973 in Los Angeles, California, USA. His parents are actress Patty Duke and actor John Astin. He has two sisters, actress Mackenzie Astin and actress Rebecca Astin. He was educated at the Crossroads School for Arts & Sciences in Santa Monica, California.
He began his acting career in 1981, when he appeared in an episode of the television series “The Facts of Life”. He has since appeared in a number of television shows and movies. Some of his most notable roles have been in the movies “The Goonies” (1985), “Iron Will” (1994), and “The Spitfire Grill” (1996). He has also appeared in the television series “ER” (1994-1995) and “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” (1997-2003).
