James Lafferty is an American actor, director, and producer. He is best known for his role as Nathan Scott on The CW television drama series One Tree Hill. Lafferty was born in Hemet, California, on July 25, 1985, to Jeff and Angela Lafferty. He has two brothers, one of whom is actor Ethan Lafferty. Lafferty was raised in Hemet and attended Hemet High School. After graduation, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue his acting career.
Lafferty has appeared in a number of television series and films, including the Disney Channel original movie Get a Clue (2002) and the independent film Wuthering Heights (2003). He also had a recurring role on the NBC television series Crisis (2014). In addition to his acting career, Lafferty has also directed and produced several short films. He made his directorial debut with the short film Don’t Look Down (2008), which won the Best Short Film award at the 2008 Hollywood Film Festival. Lafferty’s net worth is estimated to be $4 million.
He has been in a relationship with actress Alexandra Park since 2013. The couple has one child together.
