Hannah Storm was born on December 13, 1962 in Oak Park, Illinois, the United States to parents Bob Storm and Ann Storm. She has three siblings, two brothers named David Storm and Stephen Storm, and a sister named Rebecca Storm. She attended Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, California and graduated in 1980. She then studied at the University of Notre Dame from where she earned a degree in communications in 1984.
She started her career as a news anchor and reporter for WNDU-TV in South Bend, Indiana. She then worked as a sports anchor and reporter for CNN from 1989 to 1992. She joined ESPN in 1992 and has been working there ever since. She has hosted several shows on ESPN including SportsCenter, NFL Countdown, NBA Countdown and College GameDay. She has also served as a sideline reporter for NFL and college football games.
She has won several awards during her career including three Emmy Awards and a Peabody Award. She was inducted into the National Sports Media Association Hall of Fame in 2018.
She has been married to Dan Hicks since 1988. The couple has three daughters together.
