Born on September 21, 1969 in the town of San Luis Potosí, Beltrán comes from a humble background. Her father was a bricklayer and her mother was a housewife. She has four siblings.
Beltrán began her career singing in her church choir. She later joined a local band called Los Hermanos Zavala. In 1988, she released her first album, Graciela Beltrán y Los Hermanos Zavala. The album was a huge success, selling over two million copies.
In the early 1990s, Beltrán embarked on a solo career. She released her second album, Graciela, in 1992. The album was another huge success, selling over five million copies.
Beltrán has released a total of thirteen albums, including live albums and compilations. Her most recent album, Graciela Beltrán en Vivo desde el Teatro Metropolitan, was released in 2014.
