Glenn Scarpelli was born on July 19, 1961 in Brooklyn, New York. His parents were of Italian descent and he was the youngest of three children. Scarpelli was raised in the Bensonhurst section of Brooklyn and attended Catholic schools. He showed an early interest in acting and appeared in school plays. After graduating from high school, Scarpelli attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.

Scarpelli’s first professional acting job was a small role in the film, “The Wanderers” (1979). He also had a role in the film, “Fort Apache, The Bronx” (1981). In 1982, Scarpelli landed the role of Anthony Abetemarco on the television series, “One Day at a Time.” He played the role for four seasons.

In 1986, Scarpelli co-starred in the film, “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.” He also had roles in the films, “Hollywood Shuffle” (1987) and “I’m Gonna Git You Sucka” (1988). In 1989, Scarpelli had a recurring role on the television series, “Wiseguy.”

In the 1990s, Scarpelli guest-starred on several television series, including “L.A. Law,” “NYPD Blue,” “ER,” and “The X-Files.” He also had roles in the films, “The Godfather: Part III” (1990), “Carlito’s Way” (1993), and “Get Shorty” (1995).

In recent years, Scarpelli has had roles on the television series, “The Sopranos,” “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” and “Blue Bloods.” He has also appeared in the films, “The Taking of Pelham 123” (2009) and “The Wolf of Wall Street” (2013).

Scarpelli has been married to his wife, Patty, since 1985. They have two children.
