Doug Davidson is an American actor, best known for his role as Paul Williams on The Young and the Restless.
Davidson was born in Glendale, California, the son of Joan (née Kenney) and Gary Davidson. He has two older sisters, Kelly and Kristi. Davidson attended Hoover High School in Glendale, where he was a member of the swim team. He then attended UCLA, where he majored in English.
Davidson’s first acting role was in a commercial for McDonald’s. He then had guest roles on various television shows, including The Waltons, Eight is Enough, and Fantasy Island. In 1978, Davidson was cast as Paul Williams on The Young and the Restless. He has played the role ever since.
In addition to his work on The Young and the Restless, Davidson has also appeared in the films The Great Gatsby (1974), Airport ’77 (1977), and The Champ (1979).
Davidson has been married to his wife, Cindy Fisher, since 1983. The couple has two children, Calyssa and Caden.
