David Anderson is a former American football wide receiver who played in the National Football League (NFL) for thirteen seasons. He was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the sixth round of the 2001 NFL Draft, and also played for the San Francisco 49ers and Oakland Raiders. He appeared in two Super Bowls, and was a Pro Bowl selection in 2007.
Anderson was born in Miami, Florida, on October 11, 1978. He attended Miami Sunset High School, where he played football and ran track. He played college football at the University of Colorado, where he was a two-time All-Big 12 selection.
Anderson was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the sixth round of the 2001 NFL Draft. He played for the Bills for four seasons, before being signed by the San Francisco 49ers as a free agent in 2005. He played for the 49ers for two seasons, before being signed by the Oakland Raiders in 2007. He played for the Raiders for five seasons, before being released in 2012.
Anderson appeared in two Super Bowls, Super Bowl XXXVII with the Raiders and Super Bowl XLVII with the 49ers. He had five receptions for 45 yards in Super Bowl XXXVII, and four receptions for 34 yards in Super Bowl XLVII.
Anderson was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2007. He finished his career with 587 receptions for 7,989 yards and 44 touchdowns.
