She has one younger brother, Christopher. Fishel began acting professionally at the age of ten, when she was cast as a regular on the CBS sitcom “Boy Meets World” (1993-2000). She played the role of Topanga Lawrence, the love interest of main character Cory Matthews (played by Ben Savage). After the show ended, Fishel attended California State University, Fullerton, where she studied psychology. She graduated in 2005.

Fishel’s first major film role was in the 2002 comedy “National Lampoon’s Movie 43”, which was a critical and commercial flop. She has since appeared in several made-for-television movies and had guest roles on various television shows. In 2014, she reprised her role as Topanga Lawrence on the Disney Channel sitcom “Girl Meets World”, which ran for three seasons.

Fishel has also worked as a voice actress. She voiced the character of Penny Peterson in the animated series “Bunsen Is a Beast” (2017-2018) and had a recurring role on the Adult Swim series “Mike Tyson Mysteries” (2014-2019).

In addition to her acting career, Fishel has also worked as a television host and producer. She hosted the Style Network show “The Dish” (2010-2011) and produced and hosted the TLC series “She’s All That” (2013-2014), which was based on the 1999 film of the same name.

Fishel married her longtime boyfriend, Jensen Karp, in 2018. The couple have one child together, a son named Adler, who was born in 2019.

As of 2020, Danielle Fishel’s net worth is $10 million.
