Candice Dupree is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Indiana Fever of the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA). She was born on August 16, 1984 in Tampa, Florida. Her parents are both African-American. She has two older sisters. Dupree was raised in Chicago, Illinois. She attended Fenwick High School in Oak Park, Illinois, where she played basketball and volleyball.

She was named a WBCA All-American. She played college basketball at Temple University. As a senior, she was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Player of the Year. She was drafted sixth overall by the Chicago Sky in the 2006 WNBA Draft. In her rookie season, she was named to the WNBA All-Star team.

She was traded to the Indiana Fever in 2009. In 2012, she was named an All-Star for the fourth time. She won a gold medal with the United States national team at the 2010 FIBA World Championship for Women.
