Bruce Morrow, better known as Cousin Brucie, is an American radio personality. He is known for his work on the radio stations WABC and WCBS-FM in New York City.
Morrow was born in Brooklyn, New York, on September 13, 1935. His parents were Jewish immigrants from Russia. He has two brothers and a sister. Morrow attended New Utrecht High School in Brooklyn.
Morrow’s career in radio began while he was still a student at New Utrecht High School. He worked as a disc jockey at the school’s radio station, WNEW-FM. After graduation, he worked at a number of different radio stations in the New York City area, including WMCA and WABC.
Morrow’s big break came in the early 1960s when he was hired by WABC to host a late-night show called “The Bruce Morrow Show.” The show was a huge success, and Morrow quickly became one of the most popular radio personalities in the country.
In the 1970s, Morrow moved to WCBS-FM, where he hosted a show called “Cousin Brucie’s Neighborhood.” The show was a hit with listeners and helped to make WCBS-FM one of the most popular radio stations in New York City.
Morrow has been inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame and the National Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame. He has also been given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Morrow has been married three times and has four children. His first marriage was to Lois Bergen, with whom he had two sons, Bruce Jr. and Michael. His second marriage was to Ronnie Kaye, with whom he had a daughter, Shari. His third marriage is to Linda Moran, with whom he has a son, Matthew.
