Becky Lynch is an Irish professional wrestler. She is signed to WWE, where she performs on the Raw brand. Lynch is a former SmackDown Women’s Champion and a two-time Raw Women’s Champion, making her the only woman in WWE history to hold both titles simultaneously. She is also a Money in the Bank winner and a two-time Royal Rumble winner.
Born Rebecca Quin in Dublin, Ireland, Lynch began her professional wrestling career on the European independent circuit in 2002. She signed with WWE in 2013 and spent time in its developmental brand NXT, before being promoted to the main roster in 2015. Over the next four years, Lynch won several championships, including the SmackDown Women’s Championship and the Raw Women’s Championship.
In 2019, Lynch embarked on a storyline in which she “turned heel” (a wrestling term for a villainous character) and became embroiled in a feud with fellow wrestler Charlotte Flair. The feud culminated in a match at WrestleMania 35, in which Lynch defeated Flair to win both the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championships, making her the first woman in WWE history to hold both titles simultaneously. The following year, Lynch won the Money in the Bank briefcase, becoming the first woman to win that match.
Lynch is one of WWE’s most popular wrestlers and is often referred to as “The Man”. She has been praised for her in-ring ability and her willingness to work with less experienced wrestlers. Outside of wrestling, Lynch has appeared in several films and television shows.
