Anna Chlumsky is an American actress. She was born on December 3, 1980, in Chicago, Illinois, to Nancy (née Zuncic) and Frank Chlumsky, Jr., who owned a family-run pizzeria. Chlumsky has two older sisters. She was educated at a Catholic girls’ school, Our Lady of Mercy School in River Forest, Illinois.

Chlumsky’s acting career began at the age of nine when she was cast as Vada Sultenfuss in My Girl (1991), opposite Macaulay Culkin. She reprised her role in the sequel, My Girl 2 (1994). She has also appeared in such films as Trading Mom (1994), Gold Diggers: The Secret of Bear Mountain (1995), and The Ice Storm (1997).

From 2006 to 2010, Chlumsky played the role of Amy Brookheimer on the HBO series Veep. She has also appeared on such television shows as 30 Rock, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and Elementary.

Chlumsky’s stage credits include the Broadway productions of You Can’t Take It with You (2014) and Carousel (2018).

Chlumsky is married to Shaun So. They have two daughters.
