Amy Yasbeck is an American actress. She was born on September 12, 1962 in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. Her parents are John Yasbeck, a doctor, and Dorothy Yasbeck, a homemaker. She has two brothers and one sister. She attended St. Ursula Academy and then the University of Cincinnati, where she studied drama. After graduation, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career.

Yasbeck’s first major role was in the 1984 film This Is Spinal Tap. She also appeared in the films The Mask (1994), Robin Hood: Men in Tights (1993), and House II: The Second Story (1987). From 1997 to 1999, she starred as Casey McCall on the ABC comedy series Sports Night. From 2003 to 2004, she starred as Jennifer Melfi on the HBO series The Sopranos.

Yasbeck’s husband is John Ritter. They met while filming the television series Hooperman in 1987. They were married in 1999. Ritter died in 2003 from a heart attack. Yasbeck has since been in a relationship with actor Rick Moranis. They have one child together, born in 2005.
